Data integration specialist, SPINR has been selected as a member of the first cohort of The Global Scale-Up Programme. The programme had over 200 applications from Greater Manchester companies, with only 30 places in the initial round, which includes support from large-scale programme partners such as KPMG, Santander, DWF and Manchester Airport.
The programme comes from The Growth Company, a UK-wide not-for-profit development agency, and is the first programme of its kind based outside of London.
The inaugural cohort had their kick-off event in Central Manchester in July, with opening words from Mayor of Greater Manchester, Andy Burnham. Each selected member of the programme has access to unique peer-to-peer opportunities, as well as the GC Business Growth Hub networks, which aims to create a global scale-up community for Greater Manchester.
Inclusion in the programme is key to SPINR’s growth plans, as their offering aims to make the process of integrating, transforming and sharing data simple, efficient and accessible to all, especially for smaller businesses.
SPINR Founder and CEO, Carlos Oliveira said: “We are thrilled to be included in the first cohort of the Global Scale-up Programme. I believe the opportunity provides access to a fantastic network with invaluable advice from key players in large scale international organisations. This will give an unparalleled advantage when tackling our ambitious growth plans.
The Growth Company is dedicated to strengthening Greater Manchester businesses and the region as a whole, which is an ambition close to our hearts as a proud Manchester business.”
The Growth Company aims to generate inclusive growth in Manchester, and the wider UK economy, through the creation of jobs and support for smaller businesses across various sectors, hence the creation of the programme which will bolster SMEs across Greater Manchester.
Richard Jeffery, Director of Business Growth, The Growth Company, said: “I’m delighted to welcome SPINR to the first cohort of The Growth Company’s Global Scale-Up programme. I’m looking forward to seeing how the inaugural cohort responds to the high-level opportunities we’re offering on the programme, allowing them to take their rightful place on the global stage.”
